This professional network has enabled CCIM members to close thousands of transactions annually, representing more than $200 billion in value. As a result, the experts who possess the CCIM designation are an invaluable resource for commercial real estate owners, investors, and users.  CCIMs have completed a designation curriculum that covers essential CCIM skill sets including ethics, interest-based negotiation, financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate. CCIMs have completed a portfolio demonstrating the depth of their commercial real estate experience. Finally, they have demonstrated their proficiency in the CCIM skill sets by successfully completing a comprehensive examination.


EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
John was raised and educated locally in Portland, Oregon.  After Jesuit High School, John attended and graduated from the Robert Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland, with a major in Finance.  As mentioned above, John also continued his education by earning his CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, Chicago, Illinois in 1993.


BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:
John has significant national, regional, and local experience. He was appointed to the investment real estate council for the second largest real estate brokerage company in the United States. John has been quoted in The Oregonian, The Business Journal, and the Daily Journal of Commerce. A favorite business aspect of John’s is assisting clients with their IRC §1031 tax deferred exchanges. PERSONAL:
John has an established long term community commitment with being raised in Portland, Oregon amongst six siblings.  Married: wife Maureen with children: John, Clare and Brian.  Activities enjoyed include family, friends, coaching youth sports, Scouts, nonprofit advisor, fly-fishing, gardening, boating and various athletics.
